Leiper's Fork Roastery

We strive to make the coffee as special as the community.

Born and raised in Del Mar, CA, Steve May always envisioned himself growing old surfing and skiing. At 25, he and his best friend started a coffee roasting company and their business grew into something they never imagined. It was there that Steve became skilled at roasting. He spent over two decades learning about coffee beans and perfecting his selection of beans and the roasting process.

In 2016, Steve and his wife, Monica, felt called to move their growing family.. They searched for a God-fearing community where the value system was still intact and good ol fashioned living was the only way to live. The first time they visited Franklin, TN, they knew this was where they wanted to raise their family. It took 4 years and some big leaps of faith, but they finally were able to call Franklin their home in the summer of 2020.

Just as Steve and Monica felt called to raise their family in a community that valued simplicity, so did they want to start a business with the same intent. No frills, no fancy packaging, just good coffee.

The couple were immediately drawn to the community of Leiper's Fork. They loved the history of this quaint town and the people. Leiper's Fork symbolized everything they were striving for in their coffee roasting company. Simplicity. Originality. Charm.

We know how many choices you have for coffee. And most of them are good. We just hope that you will taste ours.
